Katherine Aquatic Centre Announcement
Katherine YMCA has had the privilege of managing Katherine Aquatic Centre for our local
community for 15 years.
We wish to let our valued members and community know that as of Monday 13th December 2021,
we will no longer be managing the facility.
We have loved seeing you for the early starts and the afternoon laps.
We have loved teaching children, young people and adults how to swim. Supporting the next
generation of safe and confident swimmers.
We’ve been there to celebrate your wins and your milestones. From the first time you put your face
in the water to your first school carnival.
We’ve been there for those calm mornings where the water is perfectly still. We’ve been there for
the epic and exciting pool parties that are splash central! And we've been there for everything in-between.
Building positive habits, healthy communities and lasting memories.
Thank you, Katherine, for your patronage and support.
Thank you to our dedicated and passionate staff for their commitment to their community, and
for making the Katherine pool a safe and enjoyable place to be.
Thank you to Katherine Town Council for their partnership and ongoing support of the Y in
Katherine.
Katherine is our community.
We may be putting the Lifeguard uniforms away, but we’re not going anywhere.
You’ll still see our smiling faces at Henry Scott Recreation Centre, on the roller skate rink, at Little
Mangoes Childcare Centre, at our Youth Programs - and when we run into you at Woolies!
We’re committed to Katherine. Committed to the Territory.
We wish Katherine Town Council and the new operators Belgravia Leisure all the best for the future.
It is expected that the new management will commence Monday 13th December 2021.
