This all-inclusive community event kick-started Children’s Week and ran from 9am until 2pm at Snow Kenna Park.
The event was coordinated by Communities for Children (Anglicare NT) and supported by Alice Springs Public Library, ASYASS, CREATE Foundation, Early Childhood Australia Inclusion Agency, NAPCAN, Relationships Australia and Strong Kids Strong Centre.
There was a wide range of interactive stalls, games, activities, snacks, music and many characters roaming around!
The team from YMCA Alice Springs were in the middle of the action, as always, providing fun activities for kids and families to get involved in.
The focus of the day was on the children, and the Y amongst other organisations provided pathways for kids and families to engage in physical activity and exercise – a key strategic focus of the YMCA in Alice Springs.
We had a fantastic day engaging with parents and kids, and thoroughly look forward to next year's event!
