Youth Week 2019 is almost here! There are lots of exciting things happening across the YMCA between Monday 8th April and Thursday 18th April 2019 the following are just to name a few (click here for further details).

  1. Free access for young people to swim or go to the gym at YMCA pools and recreation centres during Youth Week . Terms and Conditions apply - contact the Centre Managers for further details.

  4. Palmerston Pool Party - Saturday 13th April
  5. Parap Pool Party - Tuesday 16th April
  6. Casuarina Pool Party - Thursday 18th April

As part of Youth Week, YMCA is recognising and celebrating the contributions by young employees through our Youth Week Awards. Both awards are open to staff and volunteers aged 25 and under.

EMERGING YOUNG LEADER AWARD

The Emerging Young Leader Award is to recognise and celebrate the contributions of a young staff member who is making a positive impact on the organisation and demonstrating strong leadership potential. Any young person who displays a positive attitude to work and learning, and has achieved good relations with their work colleagues and their employer can be nominated for this award. The young person will also demonstrate a positive contribution to the organisation.

Any young person who fulfills all the following criteria is eligible for nomination:

  • • Is working as an employee or volunteer for YMCA of the Northern Territory
  • • Is aged 25 years or under
  • • Is not a position of management

OUTSTANDING YOUNG LEADER AWARD

The Outstanding Young Leader Award is to recognise and celebrate a young staff member who has gone above and beyond to contribute to the goals of the YMCA. This award recognises someone who has shown leadership in their role, delivers high quality work, and demonstrates innovation. This award recognises someone who has shown leadership in their role, delivers high quality work, and demonstrates innovation.

Any young person who fulfills all the following criteria is eligible for nomination:

  • • Is working as an employee or volunteer for YMCA of the Northern Territory
  • • Is aged 25 years or under
