Closure of all YMCA Recreation and Aquatic Facilities

The situation around coronavirus (COVID-19) is rapidly evolving.  We are working on advice from the Northern Territory Government, in association with the Chief Medical Officer and the Department of Health to understand how the YMCA of the NT can support all measures to protect the health of our team, our patrons and our communities.

As directed, to reduce the spread of COVID-19, in conjunction with our contract partners, we are temporarily closing YMCA of the Northern Territory Recreation and Aquatic Facilities.

All YMCA NT Recreation and Aquatic facilities will be temporarily closed from close of business Wednesday 25 March until further notice. All programs and services will cease during the closure period.

The YMCA of the Northern Territory approaches health and fitness with the belief that a person is made up of a Body, a Mind and a Spirit, and each component must be nurtured for the person to achieve Wellness.  At the Kilgariff Recreation Centre, we create opportunities for people and communities to connect with a better life. A recent $2 million redevelopment has transformed the facility into a modern sport and fitness community hub.

Thank you

The Northern Territory Government Community Benefit Fund provided new stadium equipment and court netting at the Kilgariff Recreation Centre.

This a great opportunity for new sporting activities and competition for all ages.

Kilgariff Recreation Centre has a great new website.  Click here to see all that the Centre offers.
